Making wine, for Dante Rivetti, is “a continuous search for absolute quality”.
Located in Neive, in the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe, the winery boasts a four-generation winemaking tradition, rewarded by numerous international awards. The assortment includes prestigious historical vintages, as well as the most important wines from the Langhe, from the white Arneis and Moscato to the red wines from Barbera and Nebbiolo, as well as the great Barbaresco of Neive.
The family expertise and winemaking style pay homage to a 4-generation winemaking tradition. Ivan – the eldest son – bears this in mind, while constantly keeping an eye on the newest technological innovations and caring for his beloved vineyards.
For the structured red wines, the company carries out pumping over to extract the best components of the grape. Among the most iconic wines, in addition to the famous Barbaresco, we find the Barbera Alabarda – available only in the Magnum format and the “Vigna Boschi”, whose old vineyards (planted over sixty years ago) – share the ground with the Nebbiolo vineyards of the magnificent Barbaresco Riserva.
For white wines, the delicacy of crushing is fundamental because it will preserve the fruity and floral aromas of the grapes. While Arneis and Langhe Bianco mature only in steel tanks, “La Valletta” ferments and ages in barrique. This way, the barrel aromas will harmoniously complement the vanilla notes typical of of Chardonnay.
